The scientific program of PME includes the following activities that are explained in more detail on the respective webpages. Please carefully read each instruction. All submissions need to use the PME50 template. Proposals need to be submitted via ConfTool (to be available in early December 2026) except Research Forum proposals that are first submitted via email.

Working Group and Seminar

  • Each proposal must be submitted via ConfTool by the corresponding author. Submissions to ConfTool are only possible if the corresponding author is registered in the ConfTool system and has paid the non-refundable conference deposit (i.e., the pre-registration fee).

Research Forum

  • In order to allow the researchers to adequately prepare the Research Forum, the deadline for initial proposals (5 pages) is December 15, 2026. A proposal should be emailed to both info@pme50-tokyo.jp and info@igpme.org.
  • The International Program Committee (IPC) pre-reviews the proposals. If necessary, the IPC provides feedback to the coordinators with the opportunity to revise the proposal until January 15, 2027. This revised proposal (5 pages) should be submitted using Conftool. Submissions to ConfTool are only possible if the corresponding author is registered in the ConfTool system and has paid the non-refundable conference deposit (i.e., the pre-registration fee). The IPC will then decide on the acceptance of the Research Forums.
  • If accepted, the final contribution for the conference proceedings (30 pages) must be handed in by March 15, 2027, using ConfTool.
